About C&L Cleaning Services

Local Ottawa cleaning, built around people and places.

C&L brings a human approach to commercial cleaning, property cleaning, house cleaning, turnovers, and Senior Care cleaning across Ottawa. We listen first, define the work clearly, prepare for the space, and keep communication practical after service begins.

A human service

Good cleaning starts with understanding the person responsible for the space.

A workplace contact may be trying to reduce staff complaints. A property manager may need dependable common areas and faster handovers. A family may want help for an older adult without turning cleaning into personal care. A homeowner may simply want a routine that gives time back. C&L begins with that real need, then builds the cleaning around it.

We ask what matters

Rather than forcing every client through the same checklist, C&L asks about the space, who uses it, priority areas, timing, access, surfaces, pets or sensitivities, and the result you want to notice.

We explain the trade-offs

Frequency, time, condition, and detail affect one another. We help distinguish routine work from a first clean, deep clean, turnover, or separately priced add-on.

We keep the conversation open

Buildings, households, occupancy, and priorities change. The plan should be able to change too, with a clear conversation about the effect on work, schedule, and price.

What onboarding looks like

From first conversation to a settled cleaning routine.

Onboarding is how C&L turns a request into instructions a cleaner can actually follow.

01 Listen

Understand the need

Discuss the space, current situation, priorities, preferred timing, and what has or has not worked before.

02 Review

See the real conditions

Use a walkthrough, photographs, or detailed intake to confirm rooms, traffic, surfaces, access, and likely effort.

03 Propose

Put the plan in writing

Show the included work, frequency, price, assumptions, add-ons, exclusions, supplies, and next step.

04 Prepare

Brief the cleaner

Confirm entry, parking, keys or alarms, products, restricted areas, contacts, and the approved priorities.

05 Learn

Review the first visit

Compare expected and actual time, collect feedback, update the instructions, and reprice only when the real work differs materially.

What a proposal explains

Enough detail to make a confident decision.

  • The client, site, and service objective
  • Included areas, tasks, and frequencies
  • Cleaning days, service window, and start plan
  • Products, equipment, supplies, and consumables responsibility
  • Base fee, first-clean work, add-ons, HST treatment, and payment terms
  • Assumptions, exclusions, and conditions that trigger a revised quote

How fees are built

Price follows the work, not a vague package name.

Cleaning fees reflect the size and layout, number of kitchens and washrooms, current condition, desired frequency, floor types, access, parking, products, supplies, documentation, and optional detail.

Recurring commercial and janitorial cleaning is normally easiest to manage as a monthly fee after the expected labour is understood. Residential, deep, and move cleaning may be quoted per visit, by estimated time, or as a fixed price with stated assumptions.
