Service policies

General rules for a clear cleaning relationship.

These policies explain C&L's working approach before property-specific details are known. Your accepted quote or service agreement should identify the scope, frequency, access, responsibilities, pricing, and terms that actually apply.

Written scope leadsIncluded work, frequency, and property assumptions should be visible before service.
Changes are discussedAdded work, changed conditions, or access problems may need a revised plan.
No hidden universal termsFees, notice periods, payment timing, and remedies apply only when stated in the applicable agreement.

Scope control

The written plan defines the work.

  • Quotes should identify areas, tasks, frequency, responsibilities, and known exclusions
  • Condition, occupancy, access, floor type, waste, supplies, and service windows may affect the plan
  • An estimate based on incomplete information may need review after a walkthrough or changed condition
  • Tasks outside the approved scope require a fit, timing, safety, and price decision before they become included

Pricing boundary

A request is not an accepted price.

Website examples and pricing education are not a property-specific quote. Applicable price, tax treatment, deposits, invoicing, payment timing, late-payment terms, price review, or minimums must be stated in the quote or agreement that governs the service.

Scheduling and changes

A date exists only after written confirmation.

Confirmation

Requests do not reserve time

Forms, emails, calls, walkthroughs, and draft proposals begin a conversation. Availability, arrival window, frequency, and start date need confirmation.

Client changes

Give useful notice

Cancellation, rescheduling, lockout, or failed-access charges apply only if the applicable quote or agreement states them. Contact C&L as soon as a change is known.

Property changes

Revisit the assumptions

Construction, events, unusual soil, occupancy, debris, pests, hazards, restricted access, or substantially different conditions may change the work, timing, equipment, or price.

Provider changes

Communicate what affects service

If C&L needs to propose a scheduling, cleaner, product, or operating change, the effect on the agreed service should be discussed through the named contact.

Access and readiness

Protect the people, property, and service window.

Keys, codes, and alarms

Confirm an authorized contact and use an agreed secure channel for active credentials. Do not put codes in the public quote form.

Credential handling, storage, return, lockup, and alarm responsibilities need property-specific agreement.

Pets and occupants

Identify pets, occupancy, restricted rooms, and arrival considerations. Keep pets safely managed according to the agreed plan.

Cleaning service does not transfer responsibility for pet care, supervision, or occupant safety.

Valuables and private items

Secure cash, jewellery, medication, documents, fragile items, and anything cleaners should not move.

C&L should follow recorded do-not-touch areas and raise uncertainty rather than guessing.

Safe, usable access

Provide lawful access, suitable parking or loading information, utilities where required, and notice of known hazards.

Unsafe, inaccessible, or materially different work may be paused, shortened, excluded, or rescheduled while the next step is reviewed.

Products and equipment

Confirm who supplies what.

The quote should identify whether C&L or the client provides products, consumables, liners, equipment, storage, or specialty items. Client-supplied products should be labelled, suitable for the intended surface, and available as agreed.

Surface limitations

Instructions matter more than assumptions.

Identify delicate, damaged, unsealed, specialty, or manufacturer-restricted surfaces before cleaning. A requested product or method does not create a disinfection, environmental, restoration, stain-removal, or health outcome unless that capability and result are specifically supported and agreed.

Quality and concerns

Start with the visit, area, and agreed task.

Contact C&L with the property, service date, affected area, what you observed, and a useful reply route. The concern can then be compared with the approved scope, access, condition, instructions, and available records.

01

Receive

Capture the concern in the client's words.

02

Compare

Check scope, condition, access, and records.

03

Decide

Clarify the appropriate next action and owner.

04

Close

Confirm what changed or what decision remains.

Remedies are agreement-specific.

This general process does not promise a universal response time, re-clean, refund, credit, guarantee, or other remedy. Any applicable remedy should be assessed from the facts and governing quote or agreement.

Information and photographs

Collect and share only what the work needs.

Do not send active access codes, payment information, unrelated personal records, or sensitive health details in the initial request. C&L should take or publish property photographs only for an agreed purpose and with appropriate client authority and permission.

Senior Care

Cleaning-first, consent-aware boundaries.

Senior Care is a cleaning service. Scheduling, access, payment, updates, and authorized family or property contacts should respect the client's choices and applicable authority. It does not include medical, nursing, personal support, medication, transportation, banking, transfer assistance, supervision, welfare checks, or emergency monitoring.

Policy FAQ

How these general policies work.

Do these policies replace a signed service agreement?

No. They explain a general working approach. The accepted quote, service agreement, and approved changes determine the property-specific relationship.

Is every requested add-on available?

No. C&L needs to review fit, condition, products, equipment, procedure, time, capacity, and price before adding work.

Are fees automatically charged for a cancellation or lockout?

No universal fee is stated here. A fee applies only when it appears in the applicable quote or agreement and the relevant situation occurs.

What if the written scope and this page differ?

Ask C&L to clarify in writing before service. Property-specific accepted terms should govern over a general website explanation, subject to applicable law.

Make the property specific

Bring the real scope, schedule, access, and priorities into one conversation.

C&L can review the cleaning need before the parties decide what belongs in the written quote.
